You know when your mind always comes back to that one idea? You try to get distracted, you work on something else or you go outside. But now you feel that drive in your chest and it gets worse. It comes back stronger. Winter is coming. The end is near.
Once again for me, the head and the heart disagreed with each other and it took a few months of back and forth before I surrendered. All I needed was plenty of time on a short summer break at home.
All the cons revolved around the question “where am I going to find time to write a blog on personal development?” But the reality is, writing this blog is embracing everything I love the most:
- Reading
- Learning
- Writing
- Sharing
The Institute of You was bound to happen one day or another because I have always written about what I was passionate about. I guess accepting it, making peace with the fact that I am also restless and driven by action, is part of the process towards self-awareness.
Start With Why
Since I started focusing on personal development, I have seen what works and what doesn’t for me. I have read great books and shitty ones on the subject, and learned about coaching and social psychology. I did it for me, but like many things it would have a lot more meaning if I shared it with people outside my circle who would be interested in developing themselves but might not have the resources to do so.
The Institute of You is, as its name clearly states, all about you. Articles are inspired by my personal experience as well as interesting reads I find here and there. It will be successful if it helps just one person find out a bit more about the why behind their beliefs and behaviours.
